go.resonite.com is small website, with the goal of connecting you to Resonite Sessions and worlds, from the web. The code for it is licensed under the MIT license and anyone is welcome to contribute[1].
It features a page for each session or world, in Resonite allowing you to quickly connect/open them inside Resonite.
Features
As mentioned earlier, go.resonite.com has several features, such as:
- Session view, showing general information about the session such as the host, present users and the thumbnail
- World view, showing information about a world such as the description and tags
- A list of active sessions (currently in beta), having links to the session pages
Troubleshooting
If the, "Join Session"/"Open World" links are not working for you, it might mean that you need to re-register the URLs on your computer. Resonite does this on it's first run but you can run it manually if you'd like. To do this:
- Go to your Resonite Installation's folder.
- If you're not sure where this is you can use Steam, right click Resonite in your steam library and select Manage->Browse Local Files
- Enter the
Tools
folder - Enter the
ResoniteProtocolHandler
folder. - Run
ResoniteProtocolHandler.exe setup
, from a terminal or Command prompt. - Now try again.
There are also logs available in the Logs sub-directory which are generated by Protocol Handler traffic, so check these for issues.
Known Issues
If protocol registration is failing and you receive a message similar to "You must install or update .NET to run this application.", then it means you need the latest .NET Runtime.
You can find it on this page, make sure you're grabbing the ".NET Runtime 9.0.0".
