Transport Rings on Abydos

Types

Goa'uld

The Goa'uld transport rings type is only capable of dialing rings with addresses consising of the letters A, B, C, and D.

Ancient

The Ancient transport rings type is capable of dialing a larger range of ring addresses, as the control panel has more buttons.

Dawn

The Dawn Modular transport rings are a modification of the Teleporter model from Dawn Modular. It is capable of dialing any ring address as it has a text box input. This transporter is also compatable with Ryuvi's Swap Teleporter, and can act as a bridge between the two systems.

Usage

Upon spawning a set of Transport Rings, it is assigned a random address. The address is printed on the control panel. To dial the rings, first enter the address of the destination rings, then press the dial button. (Optionally you can enable an overlay for the buttons. It shares the same cloud variable as the Stargate system's DHD overlay)

When the rings are activated, both platforms will activate, and players standing inside will be moved to the other set of rings. The volumes of space are essentially swapped.
