The Community News channel on the Resonite Discord, is setup to follow various other Discord's Announcement Channels.
It's the communities' space to share what's cool and going on with their communities.
Applying to post in Community News
Any community is welcome to apply.
To apply to post in community news:
- In your community's discord, create an Announcement Channel.
- Send an email to business@yellowdogman.com, with the subject line "Community News Application: <your community name>". This subject line helps the Resonite Team find your email more easily.
- In your email include:
- The Name of your Community
- The size of your Community (How many users are on the discord etc)
- A description of the type of content you'd like to post in the Community News Channel
- A link to your Community's Discord.
- A link to the Announcement Channel you wish us to use.
Based on this email, a Resonite Team member will reach out and ask additional questions or get this setup.
Community News Guidelines & Rules
Messages shared to Announcement Channels that are included in Community News should:
- Be compliant with Discord's Terms of Service
- Be compliant with Resonite's Terms of Service, Moderation Guidelines and Discord Guidelines
- Be Resonite focused
- Not be "spammed"
- As community news recieves relatively low traffic right now, we're still working out what constitutes as spam.
- However, for general guidance a post of once or twice a week is perfectly fine.

- Include Time zones and joining information
- Be consistent.
- Community Updates.
- What's happening in your community?
- Community Projects.
- Cool stuff your community wants to share
