Dave's Camera is a 3D camera created by Dave The Turner. As of October 2024, it is in invitation-only beta testing. It uses two different virtual lenses to take 3D photos in Resonite. The camera shows the location of the path of each virtual lens, the path of where the camera itself is pointed, and the convergence point of both lenses, the football. In addition, the camera allows toggling football brightness and a transparent square showing where the stereo window will be. All of these visualizations are culled so that they are visible only to people very near the camera
Usage
The optimal 3D photography approach to taking photos with the camera is to place the window at approximately the same place as the person or object you are taking a photo of. The window can be placed behind a person to make them "pop out" of a 3D picture, or placed in front of them to show 3D depth in the resulting picture
Associated Tools
The Stereo Window Adjuster can be used to retroactively adjust window location in a stereoscopic photo
