Xnopyt is a term often referenced in The Resonance and other Resonite Team office hours, referring to frustrations encountered in their work.

The term originates as a nonsense word in Tom Scott's video "What Counts as a Word?" (there pronounced with a uvular fricative, /kɾ̥nɔpɪt/). A viral edit featuring Tom screaming and disintegrating after saying the word has led to some people defining it as "to disintegrate at the thought of something". Resonite staff has adopted the word (with the alternate pronunciation [ʃnɔpɪt]) to refer more generally to annoyances; in office hour streams, a chat member may simply ask "xnopyt?" to prompt the streamer to talk about one of their recent frustrations. The reversed version of the word, "typonx", refers to things that "make them reintegrate", i.e. things that they're glad about.
