The basic setup of an exit strategy is sending the user to their Local Home, using the Focus World ProtoFlux node with CloseCurrent enabled. This requires getting the URI of the local home, which is just
resrec:///M-
+ the user's Machine ID +
/R-Home
.
Note that you probably want to implement a safety check so it doesn't work on the host user, as this will end the session for everyone. A common option is to simply respawn them, which can be achieved by deleting their user root slot.

An exit strategy is a way to leave a session using certain animations or interactions that may appear more fancy or funny.

Some common examples are:

 • An elevator bringing you up in the sky.
 • A hat that will kick you back to your local home when worn.

How-To

The minimal flux required to implement an exit strategy. There are no fancy effects or safety features.

The basic setup of an exit strategy is sending the user to their Local Home, using the Focus World ProtoFlux node with CloseCurrent enabled. This requires getting the URI of the local home, which is just resrec:///M- + the user's Machine ID + /R-Home. Note that you probably want to implement a safety check so it doesn't work on the host user, as this will end the session for everyone. A common option is to simply respawn them, which can be achieved by deleting their user root slot.
