An Asset Optimization Wizard is used to bulk optimise all the assets listed under the slot selected in Process Root
. Anything outside of this selected hierarchy is unaffected.
Usage
Option | Usage |
---|---|
Cleanup Unused Assets | Deletes any assets which are not referenced anywhere |
Cleanup Empty Slots | Removes all slots without any components or child objects WARNING: Running this command on any avatar will delete all ending bones: this will destroy the rig! |
Cleanup Disabled Mesh Renderers | Deletes any mesh renderer components which are currently disabled. This does not delete the actual meshes. WARNING: Any mesh renderers which have their active state driven will also be deleted, if currently disabled. This can break certain features of an asset, such as clothing options on an avatar |
Deduplicate Materials | Combines identical materials into one material. |
Cleanup File Items | Deletes any files imported as "Raw File" |
Set Max Texture Resolution | Resizes the resolution of all images to the size set above the button. Default: 2048 |
Recompress Textures | Attempts to optimise all textures by re-running the compression algorithm (selected on the texture) to make the file size smaller |
