OpenPrint

OpenPrint is a Community tool made by Gabriel192 for better organizing of ProtoFlux. It can be freely modified and redistributed.

Using OpenPrint

OpenPrint requires a tool of any sorts to be equipped to function. When holding a ProtoFlux Tool and pointing at OpenPrint, it will light up and spawned nodes are going to be automatically attached to OpenPrint. When using 3D mode the tool has to be close to OpenPrint for spawned nodes to be attached.

Multiselect

Multiple nodes can be selected with a certain key combination: Grab + Primary + Secondary

The selection can then be moved with another key combination: Grab + Menu

Multiselection cannot be used to transfer nodes from one OpenPrint to another, for that use the SimplePrint function.

Packing/Unpacking

When OpenPrint has ProtoFlux on it the packing function is enabled. If no reference to a packingroot is given the packing button is going to change to "Pack to Simple Print". This packs all the ProtoFlux from the print into a easy to save cube. This cube can be re-imported by holding it in one hand and clicking the unpack button.

Groups

If there is a reference to a packingroot, when pressing the pack button, OpenPrint will show a small menu. This menu allows for the creation is subfolders to save the packed ProtoFlux to. Once ProtoFlux has been saved once with OpenPrint it can be easily repacked into the same slot by double pressing the pack button.

If there is no desire to save ProtoFlux into a subfolder then pressing the save icon next to the add button will the ProtoFlux from the print into the packingroot provided.

Unpacking other prints

OpenPrint will show ProtoFlux saved by other prints. It can also unpack thoes but it is not lossless and cannot be repacked into the old format.

• Redprint: Will import everything besides comments, these will be deleted
• Moduprint: Will import most basic thing besides comments, these will be deleted
• Cubeprint: Will import everything

When listing what to unpack OpenPrint will show a prefix in front of the packed ProtoFlux name

Additional functions

The main tab of OpenPrint contains the selection of Name, Color and Printmode. When using 2D mode 2 arrows on the button can be used to shift the 2D grid back and forth.

The print tab of OpenPrint contains the auto-resizing of nodes as well as virtually parenting for working with Dynamic variables and Dynamic impulses.

The functions tab of OpenPrint contains quick select of World and Avatar ProtoFlux, quick deletion of all the ProtoFlux on OpenPrint aswell as the transfer of nonprint ProtoFlux to OpenPrint.

User specific customization is found in the settings tab.

Tranfering nonprint ProtoFlux

Unpack the ProtoFlux and position Openprint in relation to where the flux should be later on OpenPrint. Add the Slot that the unpacked ProtoFlux is in into the packing root referencer on the main tab. After pressing Transfer nonprint flux the flux will be attached to OpenPrint and the previous slot will be deleted.

Using OpenPrint in desktop

OpenPrint was made for VR so not everything works well in desktop mode.
