The Resonite Cloud Home is the default home template available in Resonite.

It is created and maintained by the Resonite Team.

The Cloud Home does not take up any storage, only the things you save in the world that is not part of the Resonite Essentials folder will count against your storage.

Features

There are a few notable features that your home has to offer.

Spawn Platform

This is where you will spawn in after loading into this world. You will be greeted with a sign that lets you know that this is yours to modify and edit to make it your very own home.

Seats (Avatar Anchors)

Your home is equipped with chairs, beds, and other seats for you to sit in. Many seats and desk areas have some form of lighting that you can control with ease.

Settings (Home Control Tablet)

Located on your right when you first walk in, this tablet lets you control the various settings, such as Low Quality Mode, Door Controls, Audio Controls, Lighting, and Culling (Furniture Visibility) of some parts of the world.

World Info Panel

Next to the settings tablet is a much larger screen showing tips and world information, such as world uptime, the user's current local time, access level, and how many users are currently joinable right now. This panel also shows the amount of storage you currently have used.

Mirror

The home will provide you with a ready to use mirror, on the left side of the home when you walk in. Click on the button to activate it.

Work Area

The part of the home on the left that has a desk with a lot of tools scattered about and a whiteboard on the adjacent wall. Mainly here for you to play around with the tools inside Resonite.

Lounge

The part of the home on the right that has a bunch of chairs, and some relevant links that lead to other social media platforms. This includes the main page of this very wiki.

Audio Lounge

Right behind the lounge, there is another seating area with a curved seat and beanbag chairs, along with an audio player that can play the many songs provided to you in this home world, which is currently 4. The list of songs are as follows:

When playing a song, the speakers are audio reactive and move to the volume of the song being played.

Shooting Range Balcony

In the far back of the home, taking the right door will lead you to a balcony with some furniture pieces, a Telescope, a Sun Gun, and a shooting range with 2 weapons, the Bow and Crossbow. The button in the center activates the shooting range, spawning targets that interact when hit by weapons such as the bow and crossbow (and some community weapons as well).

Movie Lounge

In the far back of the home, taking the left door will lead you into another room with some chairs and a bed, along with a media player with the link leading to a video titled "Introducing Resonite" by Frooxius. There is also another tablet used to control the windows and fan for this room.

Toys & Gadgets

Throughout the home, you will see little objects that you can interact with. Here are these items:

  • Flying Top Launcher
  • Edible Dragon Fruit
  • Sticky Notes
  • Globe that you can spin
  • An Orrery
  • A deck of cards
  • A clock on the wall near the audio lounge.

Screens & Boards

Throughout the home, you will see screens and panels on the walls, each one doing or showing something different, here is what they do:

  • Patreon Supporters Board: This shows a scrolling list of users that have supported using Patreon.
  • Featured Avatar Worlds: This shows a list of featured avatar worlds that you may be interested in.
  • Whiteboard: Used to write things on.

Other information

This world can be accessed with: resrec:///G-Resonite-Team/R-c3f6fd32-d82f-4f48-80f1-87a05b184650

Easter Eggs & Secrets

  • Shooting the bulb in the shooting range balcony will break it.
  • This world is special as the doors can open even when you're in No Clip Locomotion.

Updating your copy

There are various ways to update your copy of the official Resonite Cloud Home to the latest version, but the recommend route to take is as follows:

  1. If you care to preserve any changes you may have made to your existing copy, be sure to "Save As" or "Save Copy" while in your current version before proceeding with the next steps.
  2. Open the "My Worlds" section of the World browser.
  3. Find "<your username> Home" in the list of your worlds. If you renamed it and saved the changes at any point, it may be titled something different.
  4. Select the world, then expand the menu by clicking on the right arrow button in the top-right of its preview.
  5. Click the "Get World Orb" button, then close your dash.
  6. Click on the world orb that was spawned in front of you and choose "Delete World" in the menu that appears. You will be asked to confirm the deletion twice.
  7. Once the world is deleted, you can now click the "Open Home" button on the Home tab of the dash and it will open a fresh copy of the world with the latest updates from the team.

Deletion and recovery

This world can be deleted from your "My Worlds" tab and it will be removed. Doing so is an effective way of clearing your cloud home out from all the changes that may have been made to it.

If you want this world to return, it will either do so automatically (through Resonite updates sometimes), or when the user clears their database and resets Resonite completely.
