A session is an instance of a world. Users can join a session to socialize and work together.

A session has exactly one host; if the host quits the game, the session will close.

Properties

Admins can configure the session they are in via the Dash Menu.

The access level of a session determines who is allowed to join the session.

  • Anyone: No restrictions
  • Registered Users: Logged-in users may join
  • Contacts+: Contacts of any user in the world may join
  • Contacts: Contacts of the host may join
  • LAN: The session may only be joined by people on the same network as the host
  • Private (invite only): People explicitly invited by the host may join

A session can also be made hidden by ticking the "Don't show in session lists" box. A hidden world will not appear in the World tab and will show as a "hidden" world in the Contacts tab. This prevents users from joining unless they have some way to get access to the session. This includes invites and session links.
