ProtoFlux:SwitchLocomotionModule
More actions
Switch Locomotion Module is a ProtoFlux node that switches a user to a locomotion by name.
Locomotion Names
It's not quite obvious what a given locomotion module's name is, and it can be quite unintuitive and differs depending on the locomotion module.
Physical Locomotion
- If the slot that the PhysicalLocomotion is on has it's name driven by a LocaleStringDriver, the name will be the locale key from the LocaleStringDriver.
- Currently the ones you'd see the most commonly are:
- Locomotion.WalkRun.Name
- Locomotion.WalkRunGripping.Name
- Locomotion.Fly.Name
- Locomotion.ZeroG.Name
- Otherwise it will use the name of the slot that the locomotion component is on.
Other Modules
These just use a hardcoded locale string, they will never use the slot's name. This also means if you have for example 2 noclip locomotions, it's impossible to use this node to switch to the 2nd one.
- GrabWorldLocomotion - Locomotion.GrabWorld.Name
- NoclipLocomotion - Locomotion.Noclip.Name
- SlideLocomotion - Locomotion.Slide.Name
- TeleportLocomotion - Locomotion.Teleport.Name
Inputs
* (Call)
Call this to switch the locomotion for the TargetUser (User).
TargetUser (User)
The user to switch the locomotion they are using to walk when this node is triggered.
ModuleName (String)
The name of the locomotion slot that the user should switch to. For a detailed explanation of what to put here see the Locomotion Names section above.
ExactMatch (bool)
Whether to switch the lomotion if it is a partial match (false) or switch only if the name exactly matches (true).
Outputs
OnSwitched (Continuation)
Sends an impulse after * (Call) was called and a locomotion was successfully found and switched to.
OnNotFound (Continuation)
Sends an impulse after * (Call) was called and the specified locomotion was not found.
