Component:MysterySettings

The Mystery Settings component is a component which was added in the April Fools update 2025.4.1.438 which contains multiple harmless jokes.

The Mystery Settings component is a component that is enabled on April 1st, which contains multiple settings that add joke behaviour to Resonite. The component was added in the April Fools update 2025.4.1.438.

Name Type Description
persistent Bool Determines whether or not this item will be saved to the server.
UpdateOrder Int Controls the order in which this component is updated.
Enabled Bool Controls whether or not this component is enabled. Some components stop their functionality when this field is disabled, but some don't.
Difficulty MysterySettings.ResoniteDifficulty This controls Resonite gameplay difficulty. If you want more challenge when playing Resonite, you can turn on the Hard difficulty.

When set to 'Hard', gravity is doubled, context menus constantly rotate, objects have a 1/3 chance to move in a random direction instead of being grabbed, UI text is translated to l33tspeak & the left side of ProtoFlux wires is 1/3rd as thick

Loooong Bool Life is too short for things to not be long.

Multiplies GlobalStretch of all Component:DynamicBoneChains by (2 + sin(WorldTime))

TheTruth Bool Truth can be elusive sometimes, but if the right string of characters comes by, it'll be revealed.

Replaces all instances of 'not cute' with 'cute' in the Text property of UIX Text or 3D TextRenderer components

MirrorMirrors Bool When enabled, mirrors are mirrored, so when mirrors mirror the mirroring cancels out and mirrors just become rorrs.

PhantomSense Bool This setting controls whether you'll have a phantom sense or not. Phantom Sense lets you feel things in VR without need for any specialized hardware.

Does not appear to do anything.

Expressiveness Float This lets you control how expressive everyone is.

Multiplies StrengthMultiplier of Component:DirectVisemeDriver, Component:DynamicVisemeDriver & Component:AvatarExpressionDriver

Ghosts Bool It's all in your head

Every 1-10 minutes a notification will appear as if one of your contacts has messaged you (with content such as 'hi :3', 'boop', 'what's up?' 'inv?', etc)

MoreFPS Bool Enabling this will double your FPS. Literally.

Applies a 2x multiplier to displayed FPS stats

PreciousToggle Bool This toggle is precious. It must be left toggled all the time. Bask in its toggleness. Watch it. Appreciate it. Cherish it. It must not be disturbed.

Once disabled it cannot be enabled again, and MysteriousMessage ("Message for posterity") will show the time spent with it enabled.

PreciousToggleStart Nullable`1<DateTime> The previous time a toggle was toggled.
PreciousToggleDuration Nullable`1<TimeSpan> How long the previous precious little toggle was held.
MysteriousMessage String Message for posterity: Something will appear here at some point.

Once the Precious Toggle is toggled off, this will display the text: (with the time replaced with the amount of time spent before toggling the precious toggle)

You've hold onto your precious toggle for 40 minutes. Now you only have its memory.
