Most years, the Resonite team treats its user base to fun and shenanigans on the first of April as part of April Fool's day.
Some gags are one or short term items, some persist through the year, most reactivate only on the 1st of April every year.

2019
- Component:ViolentAprilFoolsExplosion causes a random chance of items being deleted to explode.
2024

- Component:MysterySettings that gives a whole lot of extra settings in the dash.
- If a user is lagging, their avatar will flash red and play a hurt sound once per second, in a manner similar to taking damage in Minecraft.

2026

- "Vibe coding mode" can be enabled on ProtoFlux Tool.
- The avatars of unfocused users will gradually "crumple" over time. (?)
- "Consumables - with limited number of uses!" (A legitimately useful/fun component, see: Component:Consumable )
April Fools Activation
April fools mode is normally activated when your computer's date is set to April 1st, due to the international nature of the platform, an extra 9 hours is internally added to the activation time because: "We want to extend the time so people who hang out with US times people can enjoy shenangans together"
It can also be activated at any time using the -ForceAprilFools command line argument.
